wedding at the spa at norwich inn

In early November the power of our CT PUG group was tested- by a hurricane. One of our PUG members, Richard Esposito, got stuck traveling in the Bahamas a week longer than he had planned on staying and couldn't get back in time for a wedding he had. What a nightmare, not only for the photographer but his clients, who had already established a great relationship with him. Krystal of Studio Foto and I were able to cover at the Norwich Inn & Spa for RE and had a great time doing it. For one, we both really love shooting and were excited to shoot together. Krystal is one of those photographers who just gets lost in her shoots, she loves it so much! So we were happy to know that we were really helping out our friend, RE. It's just good photographer Karma to be there to help out a colleague! The funniest part is that RE eventually made it to the very end of the reception! So as a current client or potential client reading this, know that there is power and security in our networking group, our awesome CT PUG!! A big thanks to Cindy & George for being so wonderful to work with under such unusual circumstances!

Hey Carla! I'm so excited you've posted some of the images from that day- it was such a blast shooting with you as always....and it felt great to be able to help a friend out too, and totally rock it! Hey could you hook me up with the images I took that day... they are still on your iMac ; P

I love that we shot so similarly- I seriously can't tell if these are all your shots, or if I just happened to take such similar shots! Love you! Krystal

Totally awesome as usual Carla!! Count me in as a resource for backup situations like that as well. I live about 3 miles from The Norwich Inn and would have loved to have helped out! It isn't necessarily a PUG thing..as much as it's a PHP thing. (People helping people OR photogs helping photogs...whatever works!!) I am sure we will all have a situation at some point in our lives where we need someone to bail us out given the amount of shooting we all do. Kind of seems inevitable...don't cha think? Keep on rockin' girl...inspiring work.

Carla these shots are incredible! I love the dutch angle shot, with the bride and groom in the doorway and the black and white almost crystalized shot of the couple under a tree! awesome!

Carla--I just met you at the November PUG and wanted to say thanks for welcoming me and introducing me to everyone. The PUG really is awesome and I am so glad I finally got my butt there. These pictures are absolutely gorgeous! The couple, I'm sure, is more than happy with the shots you guys got. Nice save! (By the way--your blog is a riot--I love the posts about running...although you're making me feel like a lazy slob!)
