happy birthday mom

Today would have been my Mom's 62nd birthday, so if you can hear me Mother, HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLD LADY!!!

There is so much I want to show you that I have done, and that the kids are doing! Georgie spelled J-A-C-K-S-O-N yesterday morning! And Jack, well he is just such an emotionally intuitive little guy, he is so in tune to my moods and emotional state and knows just when to tell me he loves me or show me something cute to make me smile...I am holding onto that with both hands, tightly and hoping that he stays that way.

Oh and they remember you! Jack still talks about that snoopy train that Saca got for you to give to him, remember? Well, I know. You're old! What can I tell you! But she got it for you to give him so that when he came to visit you would have something to give him... well he loves it still. Even though it is just a plastic toy that was filled with m&m's that she got from CVS! See how sentimental he is?

We celebrated Vikki's birthday last night, I can't believe how OLD she is getting! 31!! You would be so proud of her, she is doing so well and the kids just adore her.

Well Mom, happy birthday, go have some chocolate covered cherries or something- and go haunt Tere's new house, it's so cool- she has cactus in her backyard! FREAK!

I love you, I miss you more than seems humanly possible!!

Why for you making me teary eyed? very nice Carla. Mom's was pretty amazing even if she did predict Tere and I would have a daughter. I hope she does haunt our house, but not our room, that would be creepy.

Thanks and my thoughts are with all of you today.

It seems like just yesterday your mom was hanging someone by their ankles in your living room and spanking them. I think that was my first introduction to your loud-ass and amazing family. She'd be so proud of your career, what you and Dave have done with the house, and Jack and Georgie's sweetness.

Oh, my. So lovely. I have read so much about your Mom since I started reading your blog and, like Robin, feel almost like I know her. Clearly she was an amazing and loving person. And you got your magic from somewhere so she must have had some seriously excellent genes to pass on. I remember the photo I saw of you as a baby with your beautiful Mom in the kitchen of your house. I don't know how you feel b/c I have not been in your shoes but I can imagine how much you miss her and how often you think of her. I am sure she is so proud of who you have become and what an amazing job you are doing raising your children.

Happy Birthday, Carla's Mom. And thank you for creating such a wonderful human being who brightens the lives of all who meet her. Your lovely daughter, Carla, honors your memory everyday with her positive energy and giving spirit.

Well, everyone has so much too say but you got me all teary eyed and choked up it's so hard to think of what to type. I can't even begin to imagine how much you miss you her. I am sure she is VERY PROUD of the amazing person you are. I love how you celebrate her life throughout your blog. I am very grateful to her for giving me such a wonderful mentor and friend.

Happy Birthday Carla's Mommy!

All I've got to say is, "Billie Jean is not my lover." I know that made you smile.
