rediscovery slide show

I totally poached this from the super talented Erik Maziarz's blog!! Check his stuff out, it is amazing!

So here it is, this super huge slide show that I just had the hardest time editing down! There are so many great shots of everyone shooting!

So a recap: GO BUY A REFLECTOR!!!

Is B&H sold out yet? I am officially taking applications for a reflector holder for all of my weddings now!! Amanda Harris and Craig Norton were rocking it, and our model Cara was getting pretty handy at it today as well! hmmm.....

We all discovered how handy these are, and yes I not only own one but TWO and have had them for over three years but never used them so much as I did on Monday and today! Holy SMOKES! I mean, duh, right? We all KNOW we should be using one at some point, right? But seriously it was literally like the proverbial light would go on in all of our brains when we'd pop that bad boy in and watch the light go all pretty-like. ooooohhhhh, aaahhhhhh! Yes, we even made that noise.

So a few other highlights and props!

Paul McNerney!!!
I am SO glad we had you at the ready for tech support! Thank you for being there! xxoo

Kerry, Cara, Jamie, & Nicole. Our makeup & hair and talent! Like WAY beyond talent kind of talent! Between you and the fabulous Justin & Mary Marantz you made it WAY too easy for everyone to get the most incredible shots! It was almost to the point where we could have closed our eyes and shot and still gotten great shots. Seriously. So thank you!!

Amanda Harris for being the official time keeper and behind the scenes helper! I owe you some pigs in a blanket!

To everyone who pitched in and helped clean and move stuff, it was much appreciated, fo' SHO!

A super special shout out goes to those who traveled the farthest to get some Rediscovery Love.... Miss Tammy from ROCHESTER NEW YORK! Almost 6 hours away, who drove both ways in one DAY for me to put her on the spot and be all creative and stuff! She was hilarious and made me laugh every time I talked to her!

And to my girl Laurie Crutchfield from Crutchfield Photography who came all the way from NORTH CARLOINA!! Hoo HA!! Laurie also spent all day today doing a private mentoring session and shoot with me, more on THAT later...! It was incredible.

There were over 20 people total from all over Connecticut who came to spend the day with Steve and I, and we are all the better for it!!

Can't wait for the next one!

Damn! Looks like such an incredible time! I am so jealous that I could not be there. When is the next one???

BTW - Thanks for the love and prayers for Bray. I think he is getting better, but it sure is heartbreaking to see him so lethargic.

Late to the party... but my gosh, I had SUCH a great time. Even if I was flustered, stressed, and laughing too hard at times to hold the camera steady. =) You are too much. And everyone was just terrific... I was so nervous to just throw myself in amongst you all, and by the end of the day, I just had such a blast. The slideshow ROCKS!!!! -Julia
